LE MANS: A POCKET HISTORY
Blumlein´s little booklet gives us an interesting and complete survey of the famous course.
The main fault is the style, which can only be described as effete, almost limp-wristed--it has none of the robust, manly punch of a Jeremy Clarkson say.
Nonetheless, despite the limpid tone, this book still contains much that will delight the fans of Le Mans and motor-racing everywhere. Pity that Blumlein isn´t capable of bringing out all the gripping feel and excitement of the Grand-Prix world.
